Doug Foley, a CPA, started his professional career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1983.

Doug primarily served a client base focused in the financial services, banking, and real estate development industries. In 1991 he was recruited by a medical software development company as Vice President of Finance and was principally responsible for financing the company’s initial growth through several successful public and private placements, eventually culminating in the successful sale of the company in 1994.

Shortly thereafter, Doug joined LERETA Corp. as its CFO and Treasurer. He established systems and controls which proved instrumental to steady growth, earnings and self-sustaining cash flows spanning several real estate cycles. Doug was a critical influence in the strategic positioning and management of LERETA and, working closely with the Director of Strategic Development and the Board of Directors, helped lead the company to its successful sale to LandAmerica Financial Group in 2003.

After leaving LandAmerica Financial Group in 2005, Doug established Newberry Financial Services, LLC, to provide management consulting and financial services to a broad range of clients. He has also served as a board member and executive business advisor for several companies, notably a successful commercial bank and the nation’s largest plant nursery. In 2008, Doug co-founded UP Holdings, LLC, which led to the purchase of LERETA, LLC in 2009. Doug shares in the ownership of LERETA, LLC and serves as its CAO.
