Monique Laufau, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) brings over 15 years of experience providing human resource leadership in dynamic and complex environments, in the financial services, manufacturing, semi-conductor and medical services industries.
In 2000, at a high tech start-up company, Cognet Microsystems, Monique built the HR function from the ground up. She also created strategies and systems for recruiting a highly specialized engineering workforce. Cognet was eventually purchased by Intel Corporation, leading to the appointment of Monique as Human Resources Development Manager on Intel’s Human Resources team.
In 2002 Monique left Intel to join the management team of Targus Group International Inc. as the Human Resources Manager, specifically responsible for their U.S., Canada and Latin America divisions. During her 4 year tenure, Monique built strong working relations with global managers and employees alike. In 2006 she delivered a highly successful Global Sales Training Program which led to the creation of Targus University, designed for training and development of employees, sales staff and management.
Monique joined LandAmerica Financial Services, Inc. in 2007 as a Western Region HR Business Partner. In this capacity she supported multiple business channels, such as Commercial and Residential Services, Production and Lender Services (Tax, Flood and Default Services) which included over 3,000 employees. In this position she provided coaching and counseling to executive and line management, led internal investigations and provided guidance in conflict resolution.
Immediately following the sale of LandAmerica’s Tax and Flood division to LERETA, LLC in 2009, Monique joined the LERETA, LLC team and has been instrumental in establishing a solid foundation of key policies, procedures, systems and benefit plans that will help lead the company to its strategic objectives.
